Here are some celeb news hot off the presses thanks to many different sites.
Shakira Goes to Head of the Class at UCLA (from AOL)

Everyone's favorite hip-shaking superstar
Shakira took a break from touring this summer in favor of beefing up her intellect. The Columbian singer enrolled in a course at UCLA, titled 'Introduction to Western Civilization: Ancient Civilizations from Prehistory to Circa A.D. 843.' No, seriously.
"She looked like just an ordinary student," course lecturer Robert Cleve said. "She wasn't flamboyant ... she didn't act like a big celebrity or anything." Cleve also added that she was an active participant in discussions and often stayed after class to discuss course materials with him. "I was really impressed with how intelligent she was," he said.
We're sure Cleve meant that last bit as a compliment.
Britney Bombs at VMAs (from AOL)

Britney should have brought 'More' to the VMAs.
That's what many viewers thought as they watched the nervous, punch-drunk and extremely stiff Brit stumble her way through her make-or-break performance of 'Gimme More.' Could it have been the fact that she was out
partying until 3 A.M. the night before her big comeback instead of practicing her lip synching?
Where were the illusions she's been "rehearsing" with "Mindfreak" Criss Angel? And what's with the blue contacts? And the still-greasy hair extensions?
Unfortunately for Britney, what happens in Vegas won't stay there this time. Could this be the final nail in her career's coffin? Sarah Silverman certainly thinks so. "She's is amazing," the comedian said as soon as Brit left the stage." She is 25 years old and she's already accomplished ... everything she's going to accomplish in her life." Sad. But true?
Where' s the Britney we remember?
Famous With Racy Pics? No Big Whoop (from AOL) By Sue Zeidler, Reuters Posted: 2007-09-13 14:55:10 Filed Under: Star Scandals LOS ANGELES (Sept. 13) - Two decades after a nude photo scandal helped cost a Miss America her title, Americans may be adopting a more ho-hum attitude toward people who bare it all for the cameras.
Some experts say the Internet and more explicit TV are fostering a more relaxed response by Americans to public displays of bare flesh, even if many people profess to be more conservative. Take, for example, the muted reaction to nude photos of 18-year-old Vanessa Hudgens, the star of Walt Disney Co.'s squeaky clean "High School Musical" franchise. One day after the photos surfaced on the Web last Thursday, Hudgens issued an apology and family friendly Walt Disney Co. said it would continue negotiating her appearance in the third installment of the hugely popular series, one of the most popular programs in U.S. cable TV history. While some expressed outrage, many fans pledged support on her MySpace page at http://www.myspace.com/vanessahudgens.
